The Promise Is for You and Your Children
Baptism is a sign of God’s covenant grace and his call to bring people into the family of God. Through Acts 2, we see that the promise requires a response through repentance and baptism, includes the children of believers, reaches those who are far off, and ultimately depends on God’s call. Baptism points beyond our own faithfulness to God’s gracious work, reminding us that salvation belongs to him and that Christ is actively calling people to himself.
