Jesus Is Running His Church
Acts 15 and 16 show how the early church responded to theological conflict through shared leadership, mutual accountability, and cooperation among churches. The church in Antioch sought help from other churches, elders deliberated together, and their decision strengthened unity without placing unnecessary burdens on new believers. This pattern points to the value of connectional church government, where churches support, correct, and strengthen one another. Yet beneath these human structures is a greater reality: Jesus continues to govern his church through his Spirit, working through both extraordinary moments and ordinary meetings, decisions, and relationships.
